Straight-Talk Express:

McCain implodes on "The Daily Show". As an inadvertent public service John McCain went on to prove once and for all that he's not just "losing it" but that he's officially lost his mind. That train pulled out of the station a looooong time ago and no one even stuck around to turn off the lights.

Worrisome it is. We've already elected a mentally retarded president...twice, what's to stop us from electing a senile one?

MCain had his big formal announcement in New Hampshire.

200 people showed up. How sad is that?

The Repubs want Giuliani, so they'll deep six McCain anyway. Dems don't have to do a dang thing.

The scary thing is he thought he was being funny...I can't decide if he's senile or just plain nuts. I wonder what he'll do for an encore... take candy from babies?? Drown puppies and kittens??

Guiliani did a pretty good job on himself too. Ethel did you see Keith's vid that just takes him apart yet? If not feel free to swipe it.

Yep, let's hope the GOP continues in their quest for political suicide

I just got done watching Keith's vid.. if I weren't already married I swear I'd be throwing myself on Olbermann's doorstep.

I like the fact he's been on The Daily Show multiple times, generally dealing with a left leaning audience. McCain and Stewart aren't afraid to disagree.

He at least seems honest (though I don't agree with him either).

Mitt and Giuliani are two I can't stand.

John McCain is truly insane and could never get elected. Unfortunately, Giuliani could and he is bonkers too.

acourse, I've been offline too long, again.
the vid is 'no longer available'

so much for the 'land of free speech' --
someone didn't like to sight of McCain being himself, I guess -- so they deep-sixed it. :(

Jon Stewart said the only reason they keep having McCain on is because no one else on the Repulsicans side will return their calls. That exchange was something else - you know they have nothing when they start bringing up "soldier sacrifice". I remember a favorite teacher who told the story of being a finalist in a "Voice of America" competition. He said the kid ahead of him started his speech out by saying he knew what sacrifice was because his dad died in the war. My teacher said he just got up and left the hall, not even bothering to give his speech.
