An excellent post.. Serling had a knack for anticipating possibilities based on the past and the foibles of the human animal. I wonder how many folks will see the analogy to the current administration's chipping away of the personal freedoms guaranteed by our constitution.

Yes, the best Sci-Fi takes a possible social characteristic and extends it forward in time. Serling was a master at this.
