We Made It!

After a harrowing morning of html, widget codes, and page elements, I welcome you with exhausted relief great joy to our new template. I hope our new layout seems less cluttered and more user friendly. Feel free to leave feedback, I’d love to hear what you think… Unless you have really complicated suggestions – those you can keep to yourself.

I like it. That leatherish looking background is the same as on my blog. When I try to widen the space, I run out of "leather" and it's just the tannish color in a strip. So, how did you get that background as wide as the blog body?

I took a hacked template from hackosphere (see link in our sidebar). It started with the same template we had and widened it, added a second sidebar, as well as a couple of other features. I had to incorporate some of the things we had (leopard bkgrd) into the template by hand, as well as our widgets.

You're braver than me.

I upgraded blogspot to google account and about 30% of the time I lose comments I left. Now I copy them before trying to publish.

BTW, I think it looks nice.

I like it too. I am on my third one chosen from the standards. Don't like any of them, but scared to try and change them - probably make it worse.

I like it. I'd like to gussy mine up a bit too, not too much, maybe have stuff on the left sidebar or something. I like the over all feel of it, just want to spruce it up some. But yours looks good thus far, very nice.

By the way, love the Houseisms. Wish I had thought of that.

Thanks for the positive feedback... I owe most of my changes to Hackosphere and Blogger University. If you haven't visited them, you really should.

I love the three coloumns. Too frightened to mess with mine. Tried it with a test blog ....didn't work...back to the drawing board.

ruth,
I am totally serious when I say, "Visit Hackosphere"! They have so much great info there! And Blogger U is great about getting back to you if you have problems - they work with hackosphere so they know the code you are working with.

I can't get over what you've done with the place!! It's Absolutely Fabulous!! The 2 sidebars are a real plus and it makes the place seem more roomy. Nice.
